Jahagirdar was produced before a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Monday and was remanded in police custody till January 24. ATS sources said Jahagirdar’s name cropped up during the interrogation of Syed Feroz, another accused.

Feroz, ATS sources said, had procured sophisticated pistols and ammunition from Jahagirdar to allegedly avenge the death of Qateel Siddique, who was murdered at Yerawada jail.
