Janak Sanghavi, a Bharatiya Janata Party corporator and chairman of the local ward committee, led the delegation of eight corporators, who met Dineshchandra Gondalia, deputy municipal commissioner (water).

“The areas from Kalbadevi to Malabar Hill and the Tardeo area are facing water shortage for the last six months though the last monsoon was good,” said Sanghavi.

“The area should get 256 million litres of water per day, while it receives only 211-215 MLD. If the civic body does not improve supply in two weeks, we all will stage dharna in the BMC headquarters,” he added.

The civic administration assured the corporators that water supply would improve in two weeks.
