The Bombay High Court on Monday dismissed a fresh petition filed by her mother, Dr Avisha Kulkarni, seeking a review of the high court order.

On June 2 when the school expelled Adhishree, she moved the high court challenging it. The high court dismissed her petition on July 7, saying that readmitting her in Vibgyor High would further increase her trauma. Last week, Dr Kulkarni filed a fresh petition seeking review of the July 7 order. She argued the review was necessary as Adhishree’s trauma and suffering had increased, instead of decreasing after the order.

Through the petition, she had sought the expulsion order be declared illegal and Adhishree be readmitted to Vibgyor High School. On Monday, Dr Kulkarni requested the court to at least declare the expulsion illegal so that at least the stigma on her daughter is removed.

“Kindly understand the trauma my child is going through,” she said.

The contention argument failed to impress the division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice S.C. Dharmadhikair. The bench didn’t find any reason to review its earlier order.
