At 3.30 pm, Nilima Jadhav’s family found her hanging from the fan on the mezzanine floor of her house at Teen Bangla in Nirmal Nagar.

“Jadhav’s father-in-law kept knocking on the door. When she did not respond, he called her husband, who peeped in and found her hanging from the fan,” said Inspector S. Dhivar.

Three months ago, she had delivered a seven-month-old premature baby.

“We found a suicide note in which Jadhav said she was ending her life because she was frustrated after the death of her baby,” said Senior Inspector Prashant Bagade, of the Nirmal Nagar police station.
