A drunk Gadkar was driving her Audi in the wrong lane on the Eastern Freeway last week, when she crashed into a taxi, killing two people and injuring four others.

“We will oppose the bail plea on the grounds that if she is granted bail, she may escape or leave the city. We have also gathered enough evidence from eyewitnesses to form a watertight case against the accused,” said Dilip Raut, senior inspector, RCF police.

The RCF police said they are in the final stages of the investigation and have started working on the charge sheet, which they will file soon.
