The Governor, along with his wife Alemla, arrived at the Mumbai Raj Bhavan Club polling booth falling under the Malabar Hill Assembly constituency at 0700 hours in the morning and exercised his right to vote.

In Nanded, talking to reporters after exercising his franchise, Chief Minister Ashok Chavan appealed to all citizens to come out and vote in large numbers.

Congress MP from Mumbai-South parliamentary constituency Milind Deora told reporters after casting his vote that Mumbaikars will vote for political stability and development.

"Only the Congress-led coalition can fulfill this expectation," Deora said.
