The police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly threw acid on his wife on Friday at Sonar Pada. The police said the wife sustained 15% burns on the face, back and hand.

Police inspector Prakash Nilewad said Anita Thakur, 25, got married to Rajkumar Thakur, 30, three years ago. Rajkumar thought his wife was having an affair and fought with her frequently over this, he added.
