More rain in city for next 48 hrs

For the fourth consecutive day, Mumbai experienced rain, thunder and lightning on Sunday evening. The weather department has predicted rain and thundershowers for the coming two days as well.

For the fourth consecutive day, Mumbai experienced rain, thunder and lightning on Sunday evening. The weather department has predicted rain and thundershowers for the coming two days as well.

“Isolated thundershowers are likely to occur over the Konkan region, including Goa, central Maharashtra and Marathwada. A few spells of rain and thundershowers would occur in parts of the city and suburbs, too, over the next 48 hours,”

said an official of the India Metrological Department (IMD), Mumbai.

On Sunday, Dindoshi (15.14mm) and Deonar (12.86mm) received maximum rainfall between 8.45pm and 9.15pm.

While the minimum temperature in the city was around 25 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature was 34 degrees.
