A day before Holi festival, the police on Saturday conducted a mock drill at the Siddhi Vinayak temple at Dadar in central Mumbai.

Platoons of policemen and officers from the Quick Response Team (QRT) and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) cordoned off the temple this afternoon.

"Since the 26/11 terror attack in 2008, we are testing our preparedness in the event of another terror attack," a police official said.

The city police has been conducting mock drills at various places including malls across the city at regular intervals.
