Thackeray had targeted the minister for threatening his party workers.

“The home minister doesn’t threaten anyone, but takes action against those who threaten," said Nawab Malik, NCP spokesperson.

NCP’s state unit, which has opened a twitter account slammed, Thackeray for his comment of the drought situation. Malik said since Raj was a student of politics, he should learn a thing or two before speaking on the issue.

He also said that Thackeray was misleading the youth as his instruction of cutting hands was nothing but a “Talibani farman’”.

Public works minister Chhagan Bhujbal also tweeted: Raj Thackeray, state cannot be captured, in democracy people hand it over by ballot.
