The sections of murder have been invoked after Tak led the Mumbai crime branch to Laila Khan's Igatpuri farmhouse, and six skeletons were found from the area on Tuesday night. Tak, who was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police, has claimed that he had murdered Laila and her family on February 7, 2011.
The team of crime branch officials along with the team of forensic experts left from Igatpuri to Mumbai late on Tuesday night. Police sources said, the forensic experts have started the process of testing the skeletal remains to ascertain if it belonged to Laila Khan, and her family members.
The Mumbai crime branch is to address at length further details into the case at around 4pm on Wednesday.
