Pradeep Gharat appointed special prosecutor in Malwani hooch case

Advocate Pradeep Gharat, the prosecutor in the hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan, has been appointed as the special public prosecutor in the Malwani hooch tragedy case in Mumbai.

The hooch tragedy which unfolded in the city earlier this month has claimed 102 lives till now.

Gharat confirmed the development while talking to PTI.

Meanwhile, a local court on Monday remanded two women bootleggers arrested in the case, Mamta Rathod and Agnes Gracy, to judicial custody.

So far, eight persons have been arrested in the case.
