“We will give spectacular results in the coming elections to be held in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Thane” said Raj.

The MNS has captured power in the municipal councils of Khed and Yavatmat while making significant gains across all municipal councils. However, Raj’s sights are set on winning the civic elections, which are dominated by its arch-rival Shiv Sena. Also, these municipal bodies are cash rich, providing the much-needed financial clout to the party in power.

Raj was also critical on the situation of Konkan where supporters of ministers Narayan Rane and Bhaskar Jadhav were indulging in a slugfest. “The people of Konkan are tired of goondaism and this should stop,” said Raj. He advised Rane, with whom he shares excellent rapport, to exercise restraint.
