Senate members Dilip Karande, Vaibhav Narawade, Subhash Athawale and Prashant Ingale, who sat in silent protest outside the vice-chancellor’s chamber, demanded that the issues that were raised in several senate meetings be taken up. “Every time a matter is reported, we get a standard reply that a committee would be formed. Now, there are so many committees, but no reports. In other cases, there is no action on reports,” said Karande.

Listing the issues that needed to be addressed, Narawade said the committee set up to look into the appointment of the examination controller had submitted its recommendations, but no action was taken.

University officials also failed to come up with a convocation date. It was to be held in December, but was delayed because the contract with the supplier who prints the certificates had expired.HTC
