A one-year-old girl sustained head injuries after a four-wheeler hit her in Andheri (West) on Sunday. The girl was rushed to Cooper Hospital where she is undergoing treatment, said the police.

Roshan Jha, 22, who works as a driver, reportedly lost control after hitting three stationary vehicles and rammed the car into a pedestrian. The police said the incident occured at 4pm at DN Nagar in Andheri (West). The victim, Samiksha Mahadik’s paternal uncle Vinayak was carrying her in his arms.
By the time Vinayak saw the approaching vehicle, he and his neice were hit. “Both Vinayak and Samiksha were taken to hospital. Vinayak was given basic treatment and discharged, while Samiksha is in a stable condition,” said a police officer. Police inspector B Indulkar said Jha has been booked for causing injuries due to rash and negligent driving and will be produced in the court on Monday.
