The witness (name withheld) is the brother of one of the accused wanted in the case. He identified arrested accused Mohammed Faisal Shaikh, Muzzammil Shaikh, and Sohail Mehmood Shaikh as the persons he met at a meeting of Students Islamic Movement of India (Simi).

The witness said that at meeting in Jeddah, Faisal told him he was going to Pakistan and would be trained by Lashkar-e-Taiba.

"We want to show that accused Faisal had been to Pakistan and the accused were members of Simi," said special public prosecutor Avadhut Chimalkar.
