GUWAHATI: The BJP on Friday joined the Arunachal Pradesh government led by the Peoples’ Party of Arunachal (PPA), ending a month’s speculation and enabling itself to be in power in 14 states of the country. Tamiyo Taga, the saffron party’s leader in the state assembly, got inducted into the Pema Khandu government at a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan in Itanagar. Industries minister Tapang Taloh submitted his resignation to the chief minister ahead of the oath taking ceremony to make way for Taga. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the PPA are already part of the BJP-led anti-Congress front — North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
