Two men held for drugging, raping 13-year-old girl in Greater Noida

According to the police, the incident had come to their notice on March 17. A medical examination had been ordered for the girl the same day.

Two men were arrested for allegedly gang raping a 13-year-old girl on March 13, who had been found unconscious at a farm in Bulandkheda village in Greater Noida.

According to the police, the incident had come to their notice on March 17. A medical examination had been ordered for the girl the same day. The suspects were identified as Sandeep Kumar and Rinku, both residents of Bulandkheda village.

The father of the minor, in his complaint, had alleged that his daughter was abducted by the two from outside their home.

“She had stepped out to feed our pets. We got worried when she did not come back and started looking for her. We found her unconscious in a field, nearly five kilometres away. Initially, she refused to tell us about it. It was after some days that she told us that the two had dragged her with them and drugged her,” he allegd.

A case had been registered in this regard under IPC sections 376 D (gang rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc with intent to commit an offence) and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

“They were arrested Sunday around 11.15pm from near Bulandkheda. After they were detained, they confessed. However, it is not sure whether she was drugged,” Samresh Kumar Singh, station house officer, Dankaur police station, said.

The suspects were produced before a magistrate and later sent to jail.
