Raja Sidhu deputy Chef de Mission for Glasgow Commonwealth Games

Punjab Olympic Association’s secretary general Raja KS Sidhu has been appointed as the deputy Chef de Mission for the 20th Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 3. The ex-international skeet shooter will also double up as the general manager of the Indian contingent for the Games.

Punjab Olympic Association’s secretary general Raja KS Sidhu has been appointed as the deputy Chef de Mission for the 20th Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 3. Wrestling Federation of India secretary general Raj Singh has been named Chef de Mission, while Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association president S Reghunathan will be the chairman of the preparatory committee for the Asian and Commonwealth Games.

Sidhu, who is also the joint secretary of the Indian Olympic Association, was earlier incharge of the Indian contingent for the Children of Asia International Sports Games held in Russia and had also been part of the Indian contingent as an official during the number of multi-discipline games, including 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
