However, there was no report of any casualty or injury.

The fire broke out in a hut of the slum inside the college campus under the airport police station and soon spread in the vicinity razing down about 60 huts, the sources said.

No damage was caused to the Veterinary College as the main building was quite far from the slum, the sources said.

Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, the sources said, adding the cause of the fire was under investigation.
