Anandmurti’s contributions discussed

Renaissance Universal (RU), a forum of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha, on Saturday organised a seminar on Marga founder Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar where his contributions in philosophy, language, literature, economics and several other disciplines were discussed.

Renaissance Universal (RU), a forum of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha, on Saturday organised a seminar on Marga founder Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar where his contributions in philosophy, language, literature, economics and several other disciplines were discussed.

Speaking on the occasion, RU secretary (Patna chapter) Acharya Kishan Sood talked at length about the multi-faceted personality of Sarkar, better known as Anandamurti, and said that he had written more than 200 books on various topics, including agriculture and science.

Former Patna University vicechancellor Sudipto Adhikari chaired the first session of the seminar, while Dr (Capt) Dilip Kumar Sinha, president of Bihar Bengalee Assocaition, chaired the second session.

Acharya Vishveshwarji equated Ananda Marga with Advaitveda. Rajnish Mishra of Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies, JNU and Prabha Verma spoke on Anandamurtifs contribution to linguistics. JP Singh, former vice-chancellor of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, also spoke.

Neera Chaudhary, head of PU music department, said Prabhat Samgita, a collection of 5,018 songs, composed and given music by Anandamurti, has the power to spiritually uplift a person. Om Prakash Pandey, L K Agrawal and Arjun Narayan also spoke on the occasion.
