Hundreds of activists of LJP's student wing gathered near R-block round about here and tried to break the fence to force their way into the state assembly in support of the demand.

The police soon arrived and used mild force and used water cannons to stop them from marching to gherao the assembly when they threw stones, the police sources said.

Meanwhile LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan went to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) to meet the party activists allegedly injured in the police action.
