Bihar reported its first official dengue death when a 60-year-old man succumbed to the disease in a private hospital here, an official said Wednesday.

Subodh Prasad Das, a resident of Begusarai, died Tuesday, Begusarai District Magistrate Jitendra Prasad Srivastava said.

He added, another patient, Anita Devi, of Begusarai has also been diagnosed with dengue. She has been battling for life at a private clinic in Patna for the past 10 days.
