Lalu to meet Nepal PM and President
RJD President and Railway Minister said that he would visit Nepal seeking its cooperation in mitigating the problems of flood-affected people of both the countries.
RJD President and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Tuesday said that he would visit Nepal seeking its cooperation in mitigating the problems of flood-affected people of both the countries.
"I will meet Nepalese Prime Minister Pushp Kumar Dahal Prachand and President Ram Baran Yadav most probably on Wednesday and seek their help in plugging the breach in Kosi embankment at Kusaha in Nepal on August 18," Prasad said.
The RJD president charged the Nitish Kumar government with souring the relations between the two countries by making remarks against the Nepalese government for not taking enough measures to aid state government in carrying out rescue operations.
The state water resources department officials allegedly failed to take measures to protect the bund as it did not carry out repair work on time.
