Municipal official, wife killed

A top official of the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and his wife were killed by unidentified assailants in their house in the Bihar capital, police said on Wednesday.
Manzar Alam, secretary of the PMC, and his wife were found dead with stab injuries at their residence in Haroon colony in Phulwarisharif locality Wednesday morning, superintendent of police (city) Anwar Hussain told PTI.
Manzar was a member of the Bihar Administrative Service.
The reason behind the murder was not not immediately known, the SP said.
