State Health Secretary Deepak Kumar assured the junior medicos that private security guards would be deployed and other security arrangements would be put in place on the premises, PMCH Junior Doctors Association president, Anil Kumar said.

The junior doctors had gone on a flash strike on Tuesday night after supporters of a slain RJD leader, Pappu Khan, clashed with them over alleged delay in conducting post-mortem.

The strike had badly hit the functioning of the premier government hospital, including emergency services.

The meeting was attended by PMCH principal RKP Singh, hospital superintendent OP Chaudhary, deputy superintendent RK Singh and representatives of the junior doctors association.
