Photos: Delhi records highest single-day Covid-19 cases on October 28

On October 28, Delhi crossed another grim landmark of recording over 5,500 new coronavirus cases in a single day. 5,673 Covid-19 cases were reported on October 28, just a day after Delhi recorded 4,853 cases—the second highest single-day spike. The increase in RT-PCR tests is believed to be contributing to the surge. However, experts believe that the number of cases in Delhi could go up to 15,000 a day during the winter season. Delhi’s Covid-19 tally stood at 29,378 cases and 6,312 deaths on October 28.
