Photos: Durga immersion and Dussehra ring in the weekend

The five-day Durga Puja festivities came to an end today with the immersion of Durga idols across the country. In tow is the Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami festival, marks the culmination of the 10-day long Navratri festival. The coinciding celebrations for both festivals saw the sindoor khela being played and idol immersions in the case of the former and elaborate idols of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna going up in flames for the latter. Both festivals celebrate the victory of good over evil in their respective forms.
