Photos: Maharashtra’s Covid-19 cases over 500,000 mark

With a record single-day jump of 12,822 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, Maharashtra on August 8 crossed the grim milestone of 500,000 cases. According to Covid-19 tracking website Worldometers, if Maharashtra was a country, it would be the sixth biggest hot spot of Covid-19, crossing Mexico’s 469,407 cases. Maharashtra’s current Covid-19 tally stands at 503,084 cases and 17,367 deaths.
