Firefighters try to control the blaze at the Hitachi Airconditioner Manufacturing facility at Karan Nagar near Kadi town, some 50 kms from Ahmedabad. The cause of the overnight fire, which gutted the plant that manufactures some 350,000 air conditioning units per year, is still unknown.
