A quick recap of the teams to follow during the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil and the colors they'll be sporting on the field.Germany: Adidas Germany Home JerseyAlso from Adidas, the German team's white jersey will highlight the red colors from its flag in 2014, contrasting with the version seen in 2010, which was dominated by black. Symbolizing an eagle in flight (one of the country's national symbols), the chevron pattern is made up of three shades of red, topped with a thin band of black and underscored by a yellow one at the torso. Black and red cuffs, a black neck and a black vertical stripe down the sides tie it all in, making this without a doubt one of the most aggressive jerseys in the tournament this year. (AFP)

Argentina: Adidas Argentina Home JerseyA lighter shade of sky blue is the symbol of the Argentinian team, which will wear this classic striped jersey. For this year's World Cup, Adidas created a version with three black stripes sewn from the neck to the end of the white sleeves. The neck will also be outlined in black, contrasting with the jersey worn in 2010 by Leo Messi and his teammates. Also, Adidas chose to move its logo to the right rather than under the neck of the jersey. (AFP)

Brazil: Nike 2014 Brasil CBF StadiumNaturally, the Brazilian team will be among those to follow during this tournament on its home turf. The yellow and green jersey, adorned by Nike's swoosh and by the Brazilian badge with its five stars, has evolved only slightly since the 1998 World Cup in France. France: Nike 2014 FFF StadiumThe jersey to be worn by "les Bleus" has a clean and elegant style. As with the Brazilian jersey, Nike opted for a simple design: a navy shirt with a white collar and button-up neck opening, the swoosh on the right and the French rooster logo to the left, underscored by the three Fs of the French Football Federation. Mexico: Adidas Mexico Home JerseyEquipped by Adidas, the Mexican team will sport a jersey in two shades of green, contrasting with the solid green one seen in 2010. The new jersey is decidedly aggressive, with two red and white lightning bolts meeting at the federation's badge at the middle of the chest. Portugal: Nike 2014 Portugal StadiumOddly, the shade of red chosen for the Portuguese World Cup jersey is very close to that of the Spanish jersey. Made by Nike, the Portuguese version stands out mainly due to its stripes, which are horizontal rather than vertical. There is no longer any green visible, except inside the collar (invisible when the jersey is worn), and the style is clean and elegant, like that of the other jerseys made by Nike for this World Cup. Spain: Adidas Spain Home JerseyThis year, the Spanish team will defend its title in an entirely red jersey, forgoing the yellow and blue accents seen on previous versions. Adidas has created a more serious, less flashy jersey this year. The vertical stripes are subtle and thin, and the red shade is darker than usual.
