How about sprucing up the signs of wear and tear on the exterior of your fridge using sparkle or coloured scotch tape? Or, giving it a funky paint job? Just use the extra wallpaper to spruce up your fridge. Unplug, clear out the appliance and remove the handles. Now, neatly stick the wallpaper on the fridge taking care to avoid wedges. Go for a patterned or floral wallpaper or just try some colour-blocking with your wall colour.

Chalk up chic: Before embarking on this lengthy yet fruitful exercise, unplug and clear out your fridge. Rub the exterior with a sand paper but be careful not to strip the fridge off the paint completely. Now, wipe the surface clean and apply a coat of chalkboard paint. After it dries, apply the second coat. Your wonder fridge is now ready for use! DIY chalkboard paint: Mix latex paint and powdered, non-sanded tile grout in the ratio of one part grout to eight parts paint. Blend well using a mixer to get rid off granules, and start painting, we say.
