Extreme heat wave sparks wildfires in parts of Europe

- At least 135 people have suffered mainly minor injuries since wildfires began in Portugal last week, and about 800 people have been evacuated from their homes, according to the Civil Protection Authority.

The fire that has been raging since the end of last week in part of the Santarem district restarted, helped by the exceptionally high temperatures, after being temporarily contained on July 11.
