Blooming with delight: Srinagar's Tulip garden to open on March 19 | Pics
This year, more than 1.5 million tulips of 68 different varieties are expected to bloom in Srinagar's Tulip Garden and will be open for the visitors from March 19. The garden is divided into 36 plots, each with 16-18 beds. Water features will also be enjoyed by visitors as gardeners and engineers work to extend the channels to add waterfalls and a high-rise fountain on the terraced garden's roof. Inside the garden, there are three parks where visitors can sit and have an immersive experience in a sea of colours flanked by the Zabarwan mountain range. The garden was instrumental in attracting more tourists during the spring of last year, especially after the Covid disruptions in 2020 and 2021.
