The US News & World Report has come up with their list of the top places to visit in 2016, giving one of the most important marine ecosystems in the world the top spot. The Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and visible from space, was named the world’s best place to visit this year, edging out Paris and Bora Bora in French Polynesia which round out the top three spots.
