COEP’s 91st Regatta leaves Pune enthralled
The event witnessed participation across age groups, from senior citizens to college students
The 91st Regatta, a College of Engineering (COEP) event, held on Sunday at COEP Boat club, saw the phrase ‘age is just a number’ on practical display.

The event witnessed participation across age groups, from senior citizens to college students. At 3pm, the crowd began gathering at the venue, and kept increasing as the events progressed.
“If this is the first time you are attending the event, I’m positive I will see you next year! Such is the pull of the event,” said Trupti Birdar, wife of alumni student Krishna Birdar, who is regular attendee, since the past three years.
A rage of emotions was on display, as participants were seen tense, minutes before the event, while students in the crowd radiated a positive vibe. The action packed events, that took place on the Mula river, witnessed fire works late in the evening, as the sun set for the day.
The participants, post completing their events were seen cleaning their boats and oars. The enthusiasm level was sky high, as COEP students saw their hard work bear fruits.
Theme of the event:
Spirit of Sustainability (SOS) - The theme resonates with the idea of adopting environmentally sustainable practices, aiming for the conservation and development of the environment.
