Pune residents join the ‘Go green’ campaign, plant trees across societies

The meditation and tree plantation drive was organised by Hindustan Times and Heartfulness Institute

To celebrate the first anniversary of Hindustan Times, Pune edition, special events were conducted recently in various societies across the city. Many residents learnt the art of meditation, apart from doing their bit in maintaining the green cover of the city.

The meditation and tree plantation drive was jointly organised by Hindustan Times and Heartfulness Institute. A total of 200 saplings of indigenous species were planted on various society premises.

Gardenia housing society, phase-1, Vadgaon sheri; Shubham housing society, Vadgaonsheri; VTP Urban soul society, Kharadi; Fortune east co-operative housing society, Kharadi and Miami society, Sinhagad road participated in the event.

The residents of various housing societies participated in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm. They also benefitted from the mediation techniques taught by the volunteers of Heartfulness Institute.
