16 passengers injured as private bus overturns near Jalandhar

Sixteen bus passengers, including ten women and two children sustained injuries when a private bus carrying them from Ludhiana to Jalandhar overturned near Punjab Bone Mills Chiherru on the National Highway. The accident occurred when the bus driver lost his control over the vehicle on a turn due to high speed, following which the bus overturned, police said.

The accident occurred when the bus driver lost his control over the vehicle on a turn due to high speed, following which the bus overturned, police said.

All the injured belonging to Ludhiana, Phagwara, Chachoki, Jalandhar and Mukerian were admitted to Civil Hospital Phagwara. The condition of all the injured is out of danger, senior medical officer Dr Rajiv Gupta said.
