While talking to reporters here on Thursday after taking out a district-level rally against the Land Acquisition Bill, he said the party would continue to oppose the bill until it was amended and made pro-people.

Replying to a question, Singh said any workers suspended from the party for their poor performance would be readmitted on basis of their current performance. He said he was all for strengthening the Youth Congress, but would not tolerate any indiscipline in the party.

Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, chief parliamentary secretary and Afjal Ahmed, in-charge, HP Youth Congress affairs, were also present.

Earlier, he led a party procession from Dosarka to Gandhi Chowk raising anti-BJP and land bill slogans. About 200 party workers and leaders participated in the procession.

They later submitted a memorandum to the President through Hamirpur deputy commissioner demanded rollback of the bill.
