‘Clinic is my bread and butter’

A day after his election as member of parliament from Patiala, AAP candidate Dr Dharamvira Gandhi attended his private clinic and saw patients on Saturday.

After meeting his supporters and public in the morning, Gandhi went to his clinic and sat there for more than an hour. “The clinic is my bread and butter and I can’t stop doing this. It is my passion,” Gandhi said.

Dr Gandhi is known for his social activism as well as philanthropy. In his heart clinic, patients are divided into slabs according to their socio-economic status -from poor to upper middle class - and medical services are being provided at subsidised rates. After attending the clinic, he again met party workers and held meetings .

“Being a leftist, I love meeting and interacting with people to know about their grievances,” he said.
