Heavy rain lash Chandigarh and surrounding areas

More rain has been forecast at many places in the two states till Tuesday.

Heavy rain lashed Chandigarh and its surrounding areas on Monday, after which the mercury dropped by a few notches.

A sharp spell of rain brought down the mercury providing relief to the people from sultry weather conditions. Chandigarh’s adjoining towns of Mohali in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana were also lashed by heavy showers.

According to the meteorological department officials, more rain has been forecast at many places in Punjab and Haryana till Tuesday.
