Describing the violence during the on-going Jat agitation in Haryana as “unfortunate”, union minister Kalraj Mishra on Friday said that such “disturbances will keep happening” in the country.
Disturbances will keep happening”, Mishra union minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) said reacting to Jats turning violent in Haryana seeking reservation of jobsunder the OBC category.
Referring to the issue of intolerance, he said that this (intolerance) does not exist in the DNA of the country.
“Some frustrated elements want to topple the government in the name of intolerance,” he said without naming anyone.
“Intolerance is borne out of frustration. Certain elements are frustrated over the huge mandate given by the people of the country to BJP,” he said.
On JNU row, he said, “Certain political leaders are making statements (on the issue of JNU) due to their frustration.”
Any debate on intolerance is not relevant, he added. He, however, said that despite disturbances his ministry would continue to make efforts to create an industry friendly atmosphere.
Army was today called in eight districts of Haryana after one person was killed and 21 were injured in police action as Jat stir for quota turned violent and the rampaging mobs set ablaze the house of state’s finance minister besides several properties.
