Honeypreet, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan, who have been booked for allegedly inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25 in the wake of conviction of Ram Rahim in the rape case, are on the run.

A local court on Monday issued an arrest warrant against Honeypreet, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan, close aides of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, after the Haryana Police moved an application seeking permission to declare them proclaimed offenders (POs). The trio, who have been booked for allegedly inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25 in the wake of conviction of Ram Rahim in the rape case, are on the run.

Meanwhile, a Panchkula police team began raiding several locations in New Delhi on Tuesday, including Greater Kailash, in a hunt for Honeypreet. Honeypreet’s lawyer, after filing her anticipatory bail in Delhi high court, told media that she had met him in person.

Panchkula police commissioner AS Chawla said as per the warrants issued by the court, the police have been asked to arrest the three accused till October 3. “If they were not arrested till that day, we will appeal the court to declare them as proclaimed offenders,” he said.

Honeypreet and Aditya Insan topped the ‘most wanted’ list of the Haryana Police.

While Aditya fled Panchkula soon after the violence erupted there on August 25, Honeypreet is untraced ever since she accompanied the dera head when the Haryana government flew him in a chopper from the Panchkula CBI court to Rohtak’s Sunaria prison. She was formally booked last week in the same FIR that carries charges of sedition and criminal conspiracy against Aditya Insan and Surender Dhiman Insan, among others.
