The park, which as per residents, is a place routinely utilised by the children for playing, is facing a grim situation but no authority is ready to take responsibility for it. Though the other parks in the same locality are in a comparatively better condition, this small park is yet to get the attention of authorities.

A sixth-standard student Abir Shrivastva, who was playing in the park along with other children, rued that authorities concerned did not clean the park regularly and residents had to face problems due to it.

"The boundary wall of the park is crumbling and can fall anytime. I don't know who is responsible for it, but the condition of the park should be improved as it is the place we children can use to play," he said.
Savita Kumari, a house wife who resides near the park, said the park was in an ugly condition and was a nuisance for the residents. "Though we have not asked any person to help improve the park's condition till now, but I feel that the authorities concerned should pay attention to the park and work on its sanitation and upkeep.

Chairperson of Bathinda Improvement Trust that is responsible for the upkeep of the parks in the comparatively newly developed locality, Varinder Kumar Sharma, said the matter was not brought to his notice earlier and he will personally look into it and its condition will be improved as soon as possible.
