The members were demanding the Punjab government to regularise the contractual employees and give equal salaries according to the work. They also demanded the government to issue their salaries or pension within first five days of every month.

Suresh Sood, state general secretary, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), which supports the PRTC Workers Action Committee, said, "The government should run more buses under PRTC and should take steps to ensure that the buses run according to the time table."

Sukhdev Singh, member of the action committee, said, "The state government should give financial help of Rs 200 crore to PRTC. It should also arrange to give annual grant to PRTC."

The members also demanded the government to take action against the corrupt officials of PRTC to improve financial condition of the corporation.

Singh said they have decided to go on strike on February 25, if government failed to pay attention towards their problems.
