Punjab info panel declares DMCH a public authority

In a landmark judgment, the Punjab state information commission declared Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) a public authority within the ambit of Section 2 of the RTI Act. Full bench of commission comprising of CIC RI Singh, SIC Surinder Avasthi and Chander Prakash pronounced the judgment in the case (Rohit Sabharwal, the president of Council of RTI Activists, Ludhiana versus DMCH) on Tuesday.
