The Punjab government on Wednesday decided to reduce the fare for ordinary roadways buses by 4 paise per kilometre.

Stating this here on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the CM’s office stated that as per the notification issued by the state transport department, the bus fare had been reduced from 91 paise to 87 paise per passenger per km. The decreased fare would be applicable from Thursday (October 1). The spokesperson added that the fare had been reduced in view of the fall in prices of diesel in the international market.
