Medical superintendent BL Bhardwaj said a team of doctors was attending to Rajoana, adding that his condition was stable.

“We will keep him under observation for the night and examine him on Thursday morning,” said Bhardwaj.

Senior police officials said Rajoana, currently lodged in the Patiala central jail, had complained of uneasiness, following which he was referred to the hospital. The police have made tight security arrangements at the hospital.
