Sangrur police arrest Joga cow slaughter case kingpin
Sangrur police have arrested the Joga cow slaughter case kingpin from Karnal in Haryana. SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar said Hans Raj alias Hansa, a resident of Noorpura, had been in hiding for the past two weeks. Another accused in the case Dilshad Haji had already been arrested by the Sangrur police.

Another accused in the case Dilshad Haji had already been arrested by the Sangrur police.
The SSP said on June 18, Malerkotla police got a tip-off that around 25 cows were herded near Rehmatgarh graveyard, after which police got these cattle released.
He said during preliminary investigation it was revealed that Hans had been getting contracts of supply of animal bones from Joga factory for the past 12 years. He along with Dilshad was supplying bones to the factory.
Later, Hans along with Dilshad and other accused started slaughtering cows in the factory itself. They purchase cattle from animal markets of Punjab.
It was also revealed that their another accomplice Pappu, a resident of Delhi, possessed 20 closed vehicles and purchased beaf from them and further sold it in Delhi hotels.
Hans told police that every month 10 to 12 trucks loaded with 200 cows were brought to the factory and slaughtered. The accused were into this trade for the past two years.
