Sapna, 16, a resident of Lakhi Talab Mohalla, was slapped by her teacher, Kulwinder Kaur, in her school in Mohta Market here on Friday, police said.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim's parents, the teacher became angry when Sapna refused to take personal tuitions from the latter following which the teacher slapped her.
After reaching home, the victim complained of pain in her ear. Her mother took her to a hospital where doctors referred her to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak.
On Friday, the teacher Kulwinder Kaur had filed a complaint against the victim's mother Bebi for interrupting in the school work.
Dalip Singh, station house officer (SHO), said, they had registered an FIR against the victim's mother on the complaint of Kulwinder Kaur for interfering with the school work on Friday.
The SHO said the victim's mother had approached them on Monday and they had registered a counter case against the teacher.
